Claire’s note: It’s that time of year again when Christmas is over and summer seems a long way away. Which is why I’ve been on the hunt for some easy to do indoor activities. So here’s one we tried yesterday- bubbles! The kids loved it, kept my 2 and 3 yrs olds busy for AGES and then turned into a ‘tea party!’
You need:
• Water- the more you add the more bubbles you get!
• Washing-Up Liquid
• Straws
• A Bowl or high-edged plate
• Towels
-
Food colouring (optional but very fun!)
To play:
1. Put about 2cm of water and some washing up liquid in a bowl or on a plate.
2. Mix a bit so start off the suds
3. Use a straw to gently blow bubbles!!
4. With a few minutes practice you can make huge bubbles. (avoid drinking the liquid! It tastes yuk and is probably not good for you)
5. Once you’ve got the hang of it, why not make a bubbles tea party!
