Sunday 21st June is Father’s Day so for this weekend I’ve searched for attractions and events that will not only keep the whole family entertained but make Dad feel like he’s being treated too!
Bond in Motion; The London Film Museum, 10am-6pm, Adults £14.50, Child £9.50This exhibition could make a perfect Father’s Day treat for any dads who love the thrill of high performance vehicles and 007! Spend an exciting time viewing the original James Bond vehicles past and present. Remember the gold Rolls Royce from ‘Goldfinger’ or the Lotus Esprit that emerged from the sea in ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’? You will see them all.

This weekend bring the family on a medieval adventure to this amazing castle which will be transformed into a showground from this memorable time in history. Expect lots of pomp and pageantry and the sound of galloping horses and Knights with swords and lances. See exciting horseback stunts, watch parades and listen to storytelling sessions. Everyone is welcome to come in costume for their chance to be a king, queen, knight or princess for the day!

A sleepover with a difference! Under the stars exploring nature at its best. Bring your tents then settle down from 5pm to an evening of fun. Set traps for moths, search for owls, listen to the evening bird song and enjoy outside games and stories. In the morning see which moths have been captured and enjoy a good breakfast! As it’s Father’s Day kids can have fun making their Dad a special card and all dads receive a small treat!

A great place for a family day out if you love monkeys! Kids can have fun in the Children’s Activity Room and playground and for every Dad there is a free tea, coffee and slice of cake in the café.

Enjoy two action packed days of thrilling air displays including an appearance from the mighty red arrows and the Battle of Britain Memorial flight featuring the historic Spitfire, Lancaster and Hurricane. See marching displays, military exhibitions and performances from the Bristol Military Wives Choir. Kids will love the funfair rides and inflatables and why not experience what it is like to fly a Euro Fighter Typhoon in the special simulator!

It’s Father’s Day! Move over kids because it’s time for Dad to build and make his own den! He can even sit and enjoy a picnic inside in peace and quiet if he chooses but I’m pretty sure he will want to show it off to all the family!

How competitive is ‘Dad’? Bring him along for a fun day out this Father’s Day where he can take part in a first ever triathlon challenge. Hands up who in the family has fairy wings, tutu and a wand? If the answer is yes then join in with the Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of fairies in one place! Join in with the Fairy Procession and get involved with the fairy fun! Tell your friends too as more than one thousand fairies are needed to succeed.
This event is part of the magical Three Wishes Faery Festival weekend that includes live music, performers, workshops and activities and the opportunity for camping if you fancy staying for the entire 3 days.
