Discover Children’s Story Centre London- ‘Handmade weekend’ 28th Feb/ 1st march 15. Entry £5
A special weekend of performance, dance workshops and games perfect for families with young children. You and your little ones can join in a giant board game and become part of your very own fairy tale, as you journey through a huge cardboard forest! Also don’t miss out on the ‘Assembly of Animals show’. Watch as the stage slowly expands and luminous liquids and magnetic animals appear. Enjoy this amazing spectacle including puppetry, magic and scientific demonstration!

Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium Adults £12 , Children £9 (prices include Planetarium)
Not only can children investigate the 100 or so hands on exhibits but you will also be able to enjoy a film screening in the amazing planetarium. There are various shows over the weekend but my pick is the very child friendly ‘Secret of a Cardboard Rocket’ show which takes you on a journey through the solar system. It’s showing various times on both sat and sun this weekend.

Manchester Museum ‘Big Saturday’ 28th Feb 15.  Free Entry!
If you live in Manchester make your way down to the university museum  where Once a month they host ‘BIG SATURDAY’, free events where the whole family can get hands on and enjoy learning together. This Saturday between 11-4pm big Saturday theme is a climate science challenge. Children (and adults ) can get their hands on gadgets to monitor climate conditions, check out fossils and field samples and take part in craft workshops.

Cadbury World ‘Character Weekend’. Entry £15,44 adults and £11.35 children
If chocolate is your thing then find out how it’s made at Cadbury World in Birmingham, you can also try out the 4D cinema experience  and children can burn off some steam in the play area! This weekend  you will also be able to Meet your fave Cadbury’s chocolate characters, Freddo Frog and Caramel Bunny along with their friends. They will be on hand to pose for pictures around the attraction between 11am and 4pm.

Big Pit Coal Museum St David’s Fun Day , 1st March, Free Entry!
Join the St David’s Day fun on 1st march at the Big Pit National Coal Museum. There’s folk dancing, singing, craft and competitions for the whole family!

Fishers Adventure Farm, 1st march, Entry £11.25pp
At Fishers Adventure Farm 1st March marks the beginning of lambing season! You will be able to bottle feed the newborn lambs and you might even see one be born! Alongside this you can enjoy meeting all sorts of animals in the Animal Encounters Barn, plus kids will love the play areas.
