Take part in a beach or river clean to help take the plastic away!
From Weymouth to Cumbria, volunteer a few hours of your time,
You’ll help save the planet and leave our planet looking fine!
1. Beach Clean at Weymouth Beach- Dorset
8th June, 9am-11am
This World Oceans Day, global marine conservation charity, the SEA LIFE Trust will launch its biggest clean-up mission yet. A 24-hour beach clean event starting in New Zealand and ending in California. The event will be hosted across 50 different SEA LIFE attractions taking place from Sydney, Australia to Scarborough, UK.
2. Beach Clean and Rock Pooling at Blackhall Beach, Hartlepool
8th June, 1pm-4pm
Head to the beautiful Blackhall beach on World Oceans day for a beach clean at 1pm followed by some rock pooling! What interesting things will you find?
3.Beach Clean at Tynemouth Longsands, Tyne & Wear
8th June
Head to Tynemouth Longsands and help to comb the beach for litter! All equipment provided, just RSVP for times! Find out more here.
4. Beach Clean- Brighton Beach
8th June- all day
Join this local clean-up as part of the SEA LIFE Trust 24 Hour Global Beach Clean on 8th June, taking place from sunrise to sunset around the world.
5. Beach clean at Bardsea Beach, Cumbria
8 June, 10am-12pm
Join the Rotary club of UIverston to help pick up litter across this beautiful beach!
6. Beach Clean at Hunstanton Beach, Norfolk
8 June – all day
Join this local clean-up as part of the SEA LIFE Trust 24 Hour Global Beach Clean on 8th June, taking place from sunrise to sunset around the world.
7. Beach Clean up at Mill Bay, Salcombe
8 June, 10am-2pm
Help to keep Mill Bay looking beautiful by joining the beach clean-up for World Ocean’s Day, run in collaboration with Ocean Mimic, the aim is to collect as much rubbish and recycle as much as you possibly can. Biodegradable rubbish bags and thin gloves will be provided! Take long refreshments and snacks, There is a small charge for the ferry across to the beach which is £1.60 each way.

12. Beach Cleanup, Clacton Beach, Essex
8 June, 9am
Join us for an early morning beach cleanup for World Oceans Day! We will be there helping you out, answering questions, and spreading the word about how to live without so much plastic.
13. Beach Clean at Mawbray Beach, Solway Coast, Cumbria
8 June, 10am
Take your dog along to help collect marine rubbish from the sand and shingle beach. All equipment provided.
14. Beach Clean and Rockpool Ramble, Devon
8 June, 3pm
Join the North Devon AONB team and plastic free North Devon to celebrate World Oceans Day. As well as doing a beach clean you will be given the chance to explore the rock pools!
