Harvest Festival is upon us, hooray!
It makes the perfect fun-filled family day.
With so many fantastic harvest festivals that you just can’t miss,
We have decided to make you a top 5 list!

Harvest festival in Britain is upon us, the ancient festival where farmers and others give thanks for a successful harvest! Although the 2019 Harvest Festival falls on Sunday 22nd September, as you can see from the list of events below – harvest is continued to be celebrated throughout the rest of September and even October t0o.

London Harvester Festival @ Woodlands Farm, Greenwich

28th September 2019 1o:00am – 17:00pm

Celebrate London’s outdoor heritage at the London Harvest Festival being held at Woodlands Farm in Greenwich! Here can you enjoy an animal show, a horticultural display, craft activities such as pottery and metalwork and lots and lots of local food and drink!! Find out more here. 

Harvest Festival @ Bishop’s Palace, Wells

28th – 29th September 10:00am – 17:00pm

Head on down to Bishop’s Palace in Wells on the 28th and 29th of September 2019 for two days of harvest festival fun! You can expect lots of activities and entertainment, including stalls selling local produce, variety of talks on growing your own fruit and veg, morris dancers and brass bands. For the little ones, there will be autumnal crafting activities and hands-on gardening sessions.  Find out more here. 

Harvest Festival @ Bowhill House, Selkirk

29th September 2019 11:00am – 15:00pm

A renowned Harvest festival family event is set to return to Selkirk on Sunday 29th September. You and the family can expect a fun-packed schedule, including woodturning, a traditional horse logging display and keen bakers can also take part in Bowhill’s very own Bake Off! Find out more here. 

Norfolk HarFest @ Norwich Cathedral, Norwich

Saturday 5th October 2019 10:00am – 16:00pm

Looking for a free family event this harvest festival?  Norfolk HarFest is a free one-day event in Norwich City Centre celebrating all things harvest by bringing the farm to the city. There will be animals, farming displays and even a farmer’s market.  Plus, live bands and performing art groups too! Find out more here. 

Green Hampshire Harvest Weekend @ Winchester Cathedral, Winchester

5th &  6th October 2019 10:00am – 17:00pm

For a fun-packed weekend celebrating Harvest and farming, as well as exploring the impact of climate change, Green Hampshire Harvest Weekend is the event to attend! There will be lots to do, from seeing farm animals to falconry displays, and the Hampshire Fare Market too. Plenty of local food and drink will also be available for you and the family to enjoy.
