Are you on the hunt to find the best-looking pumpkin to carve for Halloween? There are a number of pumpkin picking farms open this Autumn for you and your family to pick your own pumpkins straight from the field! Here’s our guide to some of the best places to go pumpkin picking across the UK:
1.🎃 Horsforth Pick Your Own, Leeds

Looking for somewhere to pick pumpkins and carve them out at too? Horsforth Pick you own is the place to go! The family-run business, which provides PYO pumpkins, helps customers to carve the pumpkins out on site too with kits which can be purchased. 2. 🍂Thornton Hall Country Park, Skipton
Halloween and Pumpkin Picking 12th-31st October 2019
There will be lots of spooky activities taking place at Thorton Hall Country Park this Halloween! From pumpkin picking and carving to scary mazes and freaky face painting too. Go along if you dare! Find out more here.
3.🎃 Essington Farm, Wolverhampton
Pumpkin Picking Saturday 28th September – Thursday 31st October 2019
Essington Farm has a 50-acre pick-your-own site with a whopping 40,000 pumpkins of 10 different varieties! Little ones will love the free tractor ride to the pumpkin patch where you can choose your own to buy and take home. Find out more here.
4. 🍂Pumpkin Picking Patch, Fordingbridge and Sompting
Pumpkin picking patch is back this Autumn and better than ever! 150,000 seeds were planted earlier this year, resulting in over 15 varieties of pumpkins and gourds on 30 acres across their 2 sites! If you live in Hampshire head to their Fordingbridge Patch near Ringwood or if you’re Sussex based take trip to the Sompting Patch near Worthing! 5. 🎃Crockford Bridge Farm, Surrey
Pumpkin picking weekends are back this October at Crockford Bridge Farm in Surrey. Head on down to the farm any weekend this October to choose from a huge selection of beautiful homegrown pumpkins, all shapes and sizes! Plus, the annual Pumpkin Festival will be taking place towards the end of October where Crockford’s corner will be transformed into a fun-packed area complete with thousands of pumpkins displayed for sale, pumpkin carving and other fun activities. 7.🎃 Arnprior Farm, Stirling
Pumpkin Patch open during October 2019
Arnprior Farm is open for the pumpkin harvest from October, and with over 7000 pumpkins for you and your family to choose from, simply hit the patch and find your perfect pumpkins! As well as pumpkin picking, there are lots of other activities to keep the little ones busy such as a kale maze, quad pods, face painting and chainsaw carving…000 spooky! Find out more here.
8. 🍂Cairnie Fruit Farm, Fife
Pumpkin Patch open during October 2019 & Halloween Torch Light Maze Nights 31st October, 1st and 2nd November 2019 19:00pm – 21:30pm
Set in the beautiful Fife countryside Cairnie Fruit Farm offers a brilliant fun-filled day out for the whole family. Throughout October the farm is open for pumpkin picking and with several different varieties of pumpkins to pick from in their fields there is no place better to go! 10. 🍂Garsons, Surrey
Just a 25-minute drive from Putney or Wimbledon, you will find 155 acres of glorious pick-your-own farmland are Garsons… plus a farm shop, Christmas shop and garden centre too! Spend a fun afternoon here with the family picking pumpkins before heading to the Christmas shop for a browse! I mean it is October now after all, so totally acceptable to start Crimbo shopping.
