Little monsters and eager bakers will love this pumpkin rice krispie cake recipe which is not only super easy to make, but cute too.
This recipe does involve boiling water and food dye so be sure to assist extra little devils to make sure there are no burnt and messy claws!
What you’ll need:
300g rice krispies
180g mini marshmallows
3 tbsp butter
10 drops of addictive free orange food colouring
Chocolate fingers, halved
Mixing bowl
Saucepan
First, melt 30 tbsp of butter on a low heat in a saucepan.
Once the butter has completely melted, add your marshmallows. Stir the mixture constantly until it takes on a liquid like consistency.
Pour the mixture into your mixing bowl and add 10 drops of the orange food dye. Stir until the entire mixture is covered.
Add your rice krispies and stir until they’re completely coated.
Using your hands, make a pumpkin shaped ball. I recommend using an oil spray on your hands as this can be sticky work!
Once you have four pumpkin crispy cakes, break your chocolate fingers into half and add them into each centre.
Ta da! Keep your pumpkins in the fridge for an hour to set completely before serving the perfect Halloween treat!
