It’s after the Easter Holiday’s now and after an expensive couple of weeks we have been looking for some cheaper days out. So find a selection of days out with no admission fee in this blog. Here you will find a partially restored Roman fort where you can see what has been excavated from the site. The kids will love the interactive exhibits where they can get hands-on, including digging for finds in the reconstructed excavation site and studying what they have found.

Tollcross Children’s Farm, Glasgow

Tollcross Children’s Farm is a wonderful place to take the kids for a couple of hours. You’ll see a random mix of adorable animals including horses, peacocks, llamas, sheep, pigs and even a pair of love birds. In the visitor centre you can learn interesting facts about the animal world and watch the story of Cock Robin in 3D.

This oasis of nature is not far from Northampton and has lots to offer families looking for a day out. You can take one of the many walking trails to explore the forest, the kids can enjoy playing in the adventure playground or you can go for a family bike ride along on of the cycle routes.
