History loving dads should head to The Mary Rose the once flagship for Henry V111 for many years before it sank. It represents life in Tudor England and offers families a fun day out joining in with great activities, interactive displays, spectacular light shows. See amazing objects recovered from the seabed that you can touch, feel and smell to really take you back to the Tudor times.
The Beatles Story, Liverpool
Take a musical journey back to the 60’s and explore the history of one of the most famous bands in the world. See their story unfold as you wander around replicas of Mathew Street and The Cavern. Book here.
The National Museum of the Royal Navy, Hartlepool
This National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool offers a fascinating journey through time that the whole family will enjoy. Experience Fighting Ships, a powerful insight into the tough lives of sailors from around the time of Admiral Lord Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar. Learn how they were press-ganged and see what life was like on board HMS Trincomalee, the oldest warship still afloat in the UK. Feel the power of guns from the era, with live demonstrations and re-enactments taking place around the quayside. Younger pirates and sailors can jump aboard the children’s play ship for their own seafaring adventures and explore the Children’s Maritime Adventure Centre. Book here.

This day out with a difference offers all the family, including Dad, the chance to climb one of London’s most iconic landmarks to enjoy stunning views of London once you all get to the top! Climbing suits, boots, harnesses, latches and clips are all provided so everyone is nice and secure on the climb. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth
We think any Dad or Granddad would enjoy a fun day out at The Portsmouth Historic Dockyard with indoor and outdoor activities suitable for the whole family. Dad’s will love the adrenaline buzz of flying along on this coaster through the forest at a 25 mph speed! This is the only Alpine coaster of it’s kind in the UK and he gets 3 runs per ticket so all the kids can have a chance to join him! Book here.
Bond in Motion, London
A visit to this exhibition is always a firm favourite with Dads who love James Bond! It boasts the largest collection of original James Bond vehicles you can see in one place including other items such as props, miniatures and artwork. All the cars were actually used in the films too! Book here.
