1. 🎄Christmas Tree Wonderland, Bournemouth🎄
15th November – 2nd January 2020
What’s more beautiful at Christmas than sparkling Christmas trees? This stunning trail has over 100 glittering trees and illuminations for you explore and wow at. Before you go, make sure to download the trail where it will map out each area to visit before ending at Santa’s Grotto at Beales! On the trail, you will see sparkling trees, giant reindeer and presents along with the main feature – a 60ft tree covered in 30,000 LED lights which will play festive tunes for the whole family to enjoy! After enjoying the free Christmas trail, make sure to visit the town’s Christmas market to pick up a cheeky gluhwein.
2. ✨The Tunnel of Light, Norwich✨
14th November – 5th January 2020
This light display is sure to take the best pictures! Be amazed at the giant dazzling light tunnel in Norwich which is 45 metres long, 4 metres high and 6 metres wide along with featuring 50,000 pulsating LED’s. Not only is the tunnel beautiful alone but it’s also made to mimic the patterns of the Northern Lights…how amazing does that sound? After visiting the tunnel (and taking 100 pictures) head-on into the city centre and get some last-minute Christmas presents!
3. ❄️Illuminated Light Trail, Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire❄️
28th November – 1st January 2020
This place screams Winter Wonderland! Head to Blenheim Palace and enjoy the twinkling light trail which features over 100,000 dazzling lights. On the trail, you will see lots of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, light illuminations and laser lights. Along with all this magic, you can enjoy your walk under the stars with either a mulled cider, mulled wine or a creamy hot chocolate. To make the experience even more magical, make sure to check out the firepit which allows you and your family to roast marshmallows and the classic fairground rides such as a carousel and helter-skelter. P.S there’s a special appearance by Galaxy Truffles who have made a grove to make the experience even more festive!
4. 🎇Eden Project, Cornwall🎇
30th November – 30th December 2019
This place has so much going on! Venture inside the marvellous Eden Project and be amazed by what you find inside. Start your adventure by taking a wander through the beautifully lit Avenue of Lights and see hundreds of lights and lanterns telling a story, especially the giant willow lantern creatures! Once you have had your light fix, make sure to check out the other festivities that are happening such as a Christmas Jumper Swap Shop, Father Christmas with his cheeky elves along with lots of craft workshops to get creative in. Adults can also enjoy a glass of mulled wine whilst the kid’s whizz around the glittering ice rink!
5. 🏮Festival of Light, Longleat🏮
9th November – 5th January 2020
I’m sure you’ve heard of this fantastic light display! Festival of Light features hundreds of breath-taking Chinese lanterns which cover 30 acres of Longleat. This year’s theme is ‘Myths and Legends’ so you can expect to see legendary figures, marvellous gods and mythical beasts all lit up in these beautiful lanterns. With your Festival of Light ticket, you can enjoy a show by the furry owls as they glide above your head, see your favourite animals in the winter safari and step back in time and see a 1920’s Christmas at Longleat House! 6. 🎄Christmas in Technicolour, Wembley Park, London🎄
20th November – 3rd January 2020
This is the first time this Christmas light trail has happened and it’s definitely one you won’t want to miss! Take a walk down this beautifully lit trail that has light features from artists all around the world to create a truly magical Winter light walkthrough. This installation starts by looking like a Sonic Runway with rainbow rings of light before seeing London’s tallest-ever LED light Christmas tree with lots of dazzling technicolour lights and interactive sounds. Along with the lights, there is an immersive playground which little ones will love to have a play in!
7. ✨Christmas at Belton, Lincolnshire✨
23rd November – 30th December 2019
This the perfect place to go for a Christmas walk as a family! Start your walk by going through Tunnel of Light with over 100,000 twinkling lights along with listening to the Singing Trees which can be heard playing festive carols. There are also lots of flashing lights and dancing lines in the Laser Garden before finishing off by having a go on one of the traditional rides in the Victorian fairground!
8. ❄️Christmas at the Botanics, Edinburgh❄️
22nd November – 29th December
This is event has a deLIGHTful display for you and your family to enjoy! Venture through the brightly lit trail full of twinkling coloured lights and illuminations with a hot chocolate, mulled wine or spiced cider before ending the trip with a stop by the fire pit where you and your family can enjoy a delicious roasted marshmallow treat. Make sure to look out for Santa and his elves around the trail also!
