Family Weekend at The Bluecoat: Liverpool, 17th-18th October, 1pm-5:05pm
Visit this fantastic arts centre for a weekend especially for all the family with fun activities linked to the exhibitions at the museum. You will be able to see the oldest animated feature film in existence ‘The Adventures of Prince Achmed’.
The Alice Look, Museum of Childhood, London
The fantastic Museum of Childhood has an exhibition running until November which explores how influential the story of Alice’s adventures has been in fashion. See how her style has evolved along with how she has been adapted by different nations.
Autumn Apple Day: Bedfords Park Visitor Centre, Essex, 18th October, 10am-4pm
For an autumn themed day, visit the Bedfords Park Visitor Centre where there will be lots of activities, craft tables and tasty local apple juice. This is a free event however a donation for any children’s activities is required.
The Big Draw – Wonderful Watercolours: Scottish National Gallery, Edinburgh, 17th October
Pop along to the Scottish National Gallery where you can learn and try out some wonderful and exciting ways of using watercolours! All the family can get involved and create a work of art!
The Big Barbican Adventure: Barbican Centre, London, 17th – 18th October, 11am -6pm
Perfect for little adventurers, this do-it-yourself adventure trail is suitable for children aged 6+ and brave family members! Through drawing, games, and clue solving, you will discover the secrets of the Barbican – and if you complete the trail and crack the code, there may even be a reward at the end!
Creature Corner: South Shields Museum, Tyne and Wear, 17th October 11am – 4pm
Say hello to residents, Lou the snake, Bowser and Gizmo the Lizards, as well as all their friends! You will have the opportunity to find out lots of interesting facts about them, such as their favourite tasty treats and how they like to spend their days at the museum.
