Mud Larking by the Thames: Millennium Bridge, London, 11th October, 11am
For those little budding archeaologist’s out there, head to the banks of the river Thames to dig for ancient treasures whilst being told stories of the areas past. Children will be rewarded with yummy mud pies and hot chocolate afterwards. The event is free, however places must be reserved to avoid disappointment.
Diwali on the Square: Trafalgar Square, London, 11th October, 12pm
This annual celebration for the Festival of Lights has plenty of music, food and activities to keep all the family entertained. There’s a children’s parade, traditional and contemporary performances, along with market stalls and workshops.
Animal Masks Workshop: World Museum, Liverpool, 11th October, 1pm-4pm
Get creative and make an animal mask at the Clore Natural History Centre! You will even get to touch a hippopotamus skull, and study an elegant tropical butterfly whilst you’re there!
