International Vulture Awareness weekend, London Zoo; 5th – 6th September, 10am – 6pm, save up to 17% off tickets when you book with Days Out With Kids
Over the weekend London Zoo have a number of exciting activities planned highlighting the plight of the often misunderstood vulture. There’s going to be vulture feeds, raffles, vulture parks and the chance to talk to the staff to learn more about these curious birds.

If you have a doggy friend in the family or you love animals head to this event for some family fun. There’s going to be delicious food, music and dog shows that all will enjoy. The event is raising awareness of puppy farming.

Eelbrook Common Annual Fair, Fulham; 4th – 6th Sept, 2pm -10pm, rides individually priced, all ages
The fair is arriving at Eelbrook Common over the weekend. There’s going to be rides for all ages from tea cups and dodgems to waltzers and more.

Scottish Airshow, Ayr; 5th September, Free, all ages
This fab free airshow is going to have a variety of exciting planes including the Vulcan, RAF Typhoon, The Red Arrows, Spitfires and many more performing exciting displays. There will also be lots of family entertainment including a funfair, live music and even a marquee full of children’s activities.

The Victory Show, Cosby, Leicestershire; 5th-6th September, 9am – 5pm, Adult £17.50 Child £7.50 Family £50, all ages
Running over three days this tribute to World War II will have re-enactment camps, miniature steam train rides, 1940’s vehicles and lots more for the family to discover! The huge re-enactment camps will have over 200 vehicles including many tanks and armoured vehicles, plus there will be 50 re-enactment groups. You can also see some awesome vintage planes during an airshow throughout the day.

Dorset County Show, Dorchester Showground; 5th – 6th September, Adult £13 Child (under 16) free, all ages
The family can enjoy a traditional day out at this large county fair where there’s a packed schedule of exciting activities and entertainment. There’s lots of displays on farming including many farm animals for you to meet. In the main arena you can watch showjumping, The White Helmets Display Team and much more, plus in the other arenas you can watch ferret racing and gun dog displays.

Promfest, Brecon Promenade, Wales; 6th September, free, all ages
This free family festival has a day of fun activities and entertainment planned. There’s going to be a duck race, a dog show, a bouncy castle, 4C Alive and Kickin’ Community Choir and belly dancing.

Northern Ireland Airshow, Portrush; 5th- 6th September, free, all ages
The beach and surrounding area in Portrush will be transformed this weekend for the airshow. On the ground there’s going to be stalls, crafts, armed forces displays exciting vehicles and living history installations. In the air you can see displays by the mighty Vulcan, Battle of Britain Memorial flight and many more awesome planes! Take the family along for an action-packed day!
