Pugneys Country Park, Wakefield, West Yorkshire
There are two large lakes with a watersport centre where you can have a go at sailing, wind surfing, canoeing and kayaking. The country park is over 250 acres and there are many walks that you can take or just enjoy relaxing around one of the lakes. Kielder Water and Forest Park, Haltwhistle, Northumberland
This Forest Park is the largest man-made water and forest park in the north of Europe. It is the perfect place for a family to enjoy varied outdoor activities from stargazing to water sports, cycling or walking.
