From Captain America, Black Panther and Iron Man too,
Disneyland Paris has lots of Marvel-themed fun for you,
It’s the summer of superheroes from now until September,
So come along to Disneyland Paris for a holiday to remember!
Our final day at Disneyland Paris and we were up early for breakfast as we wanted to make the most of every hour that we had left. We used our magic hours so were in the studios by 9am for a few more rides and of course, meet Mickey Mouse before heading across to the Disneyland Park. I would always recommend getting a ticket that gives you access to both parks in one day as we found ourselves jumping between the parks all the time. You can choose one day, one park but this does restrict you.
Our plan was simply to wander around, meet characters and ride rides as and when we came across them which was a lovely way to spend the last day. There are many rides in Fantasyland that are perfect for guests travelling with children. Our favourites were Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Carousel. All were very cute!
Food always seems to be something everyone worries about when they go away, especially if you have fussy eaters! I was very impressed with the food on offer, especially in the hotel restaurants for dinner. On a previous stay, I have also experienced Inventions at the Disneyland Hotel and also the Princess dinner at Auberge de Cendrillon, both of which are brilliant for character interaction and food. For lunch, there are a number of counter service restaurants or you can pop into the Disney Village where you will find McDonald’s, Earl of Sandwich and even a Starbucks.
We spotted lots of characters, including Belle and the Prince, Gaston and Captain Hook as well as Jasmine and Aladdin and Buzz Lightyear. Instead of queuing to meet these characters we just watched the interaction between them and the children – they are all amazing, especially with the children but I think my favourite has to be Donald Duck squatting down to become the same height as the children.
We decided to join the queue to meet Donald Duck. It’s funny isn’t it that whatever age you are, as soon as you see a character the inner child in you comes out and you simply have to meet them and have your photo taken! Earlier in the day, Goofy was at our hotel and we immediately joined the queue to say hi and have our photo taken!
I would strongly recommend purchasing a photo pass before you go. It’s a brilliant way to get professional photos at the meet and greets, and to store photos from the rides too! It is super easy to use and a wonderful way to capture the memories.
As we were walking through the park (after a few, ok 6 rides on Big Thunder Mountain) we stumbled across a show just behind the castle and I am so glad we did. Mickey Presents “Happy Anniversary Disneyland Paris” which celebrates the 25th Anniversary. It was great to watch Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jess, Chip and Dale and many more. It is also a great spot to take a pit stop and let the little ones rest their tired feet! Oh and don’t forget to visit the hidden dragon under the castle too!
After a quick ice cream stop on Main Street, we said goodbye to Disneyland Park before a quick spot of shopping in the Disney Village. Then it was a short walk to the train station to board the Eurostar home and back to reality.
And as the trip blog series comes to an end I will leave you with these words from Walt Disney…
“Growing Old is Mandatory, Growing up is Optional”
