You know what really puts us in an autumnal mood? Apple picking! It is prime picking season now, and spending some time with the family on a farm that lets you pick your own is a great way to welcome the beginning of Autumn. The family fun won’t stop here though, why not go home and cook up your favourite apple recipes?
Here are some of the best places across the UK for apple-picking:
1. šHillfield Nursery and Farm Shop, Norwich
With over 250 different apple varieties to pick at Hillfield Nursery and Farm shop, you and your little ones definitely won’t be disappointed! Better still, there are 19 other fruits to pick in season here, so you will for sure be returning time and time again. Fancy attending a family apple picking festival? Head on down to Avalon Orchard at Glastonbury Tor on the weekends of 28th-29th September 2019 and 5th-6th October 2019! Only 50′ minutes drive from London, this apple picking farm in Kent is a great day out for the whole family! With some of the freshest, sweetest and juiciest apples not found anywhere else this really is a one of a kind apple picking experience.
