This Jubilee enjoy some craft,
Not to do so would be daft!
Make some strawberries and cream,
Your children’s faces will gleam!
1. Union Jack bunting
Why not start the day off by creating your own bunting! Not only will this entertain the kids for hours, but it will also leave your house Jubilee decorated. Grab some paper and string from around the house and get creative! Have all the flags the same, or each child may want to design their own, either way this is an easy activity to do this Jubilee bank holiday!
2. Victoria sponge cake
Fancy some tasty treats, why not bake them yourself? You can’t go wrong with a Victoria Sponge cake and the kids will have great fun decorating it afterwards. You could even create a Union Jack using raspberries and blueberries, and what better way to get the kids eating 2 of their 5 a day! Head to BBC Good Food for a quick and easy recipe! Link Here.
This is an easy and inexpensive activity to do with the kids this Jubilee bank holiday! Either take an old cereal box and turn it inside out or simply a piece of paper. Then cut out the shape of a crown, lay out some pens or paint and leave the kids to get imaginative! Perhaps print out a photo as an example to give them some inspiration! Your little ones can then walk around all day wearing their crown and feeling in the Jubilee spirit!
4. Make your own jewels
Get all jewelled up! Join in with the Queen and make your own ‘Diamond’ jewellery! If you have any beads lying around the house or simply need to place a quick amazon order, this is the perfect creative activity. 5. Papier mâché a Corgi or the number 70

In the theme of the Platinum Jubilee why not choose a corgi or the number 70 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Queens Rule. At just £2.80 each on amazon for the number 7 and 0 you can’t go wrong! When it comes to paper, you can either buy some online or simply use some newspaper to create the same effect! Click here for link to papier mâché numbers.
