Its Easter Half Term! Yay! What shall we do?
Here are some fun days out in London for all of you!
From a children’s trail to London Zoo where it’s fun galore,
The kids will have a blast, you’ll want to go back for more!
1. City of London Children’s Trail
From the world famous Tower Bridge to world-class museums and the beautiful St Pauls Cathedral, there is so much to see and do on foot in London! The City Children’s Trail makes exploring the City of London on foot even easier (and funner!!) for families, with three kid-friendly self-guided routes specifically designed for young explorers. So, print this map here and bring it with you, or pop into the City Information Centre open Fridays and Saturdays to pick up a FREE Children’s Activity Map including stickers and fun facts. Make sure to pack a picnic too, as they are plenty of green spaces perfect for a picnic across the city. Find out more here!
2. Up at the O2, North Greenwich
Are your kids little adrenalines junkies? How about an exhilarating outdoor climb at Up at the O2 where you can climb over the world-famous roof and enjoy the incredible views of London… from 52 metres above the ground! A variety of climbs are available, from a Daytime Climb to a Sunset Climb and a Twilight Climb too. Plus, this Easter, climbers will get the chance to decorate and customise themed biscuits at the summit of the roofwalk. 3. Thames Rockets, Canary Wharf
The Thames Rockets ‘Captain Kidd’s Canary Wharf Voyage’ is an action packed 50 minute long round trip from the London Eye to Canary Wharf and back passing many iconic London landmarks! This is a great activity for the whole family and would be something really fun to do on your next day out in London. Book here!
4. Tower of London, North Bank of the River Thames
Treat the family to a fun and educational day at one of the UK’s most visited attractions – the Tower of London! Home to the Crown Jewels, Yeoman Warders and the Tower ravens, the world’s most famous fortress has served as a royal palace, prison, armoury, and even a zoo since its commission in 1066 by William the Conqueror. 5. London Eye, South Bank
See London like you’ve never seen it before, by taking a flight on the world’s tallest observation wheel, the London Eye! Taking a leisurely 30 minutes, there is plenty of time for you and your little ones to spot famous landmarks across the city and enjoy this fun experience. Book here!
6. ZSL London Zoo, Regent’s Park
Treat the kids to a zoo-tastic day out this half term at London Zoo, where they can spot more than 750 species of animals. Little ones will love getting up close to creatures from all over the world, from bugs and butterflies to hippos, lions and giraffes. 7. KidZania London, Shepherds Bush
KidZania London, located on the first floor of the Westfield Shopping Centre in London, makes a great half term activity come rain or shine this Easter. Choose from a variety of real-life role-play scenarios such as taking to the stage as an actor or dancer, learning the financial literacy required to be a banker or the skills needed to become a police officer, fashion designer, doctor, vet, and more! 8. London Transport Museum
Are your kids mad on motorbikes, crazy about cabs and batty about buses? London Transport Museum is the perfect place to bring them for a great day out! Discover the history the iconic red London bus and black cab as well as the the underground. Visit the gallery showing iconic advertising posters and art work. 9. The Crystal Maze Live Experience, London
Now this is perfect if you have teens! Dive inside The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience in London’s West End and experience the outrageously popular 90’s TV show for yourself! Enjoy 1¼ hours of daft and frantic fun that’s open to anybody aged 13 and over. Book here!
10. Frozen The Musical at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London
Finally, if your little one is Frozen obsessed, make their Easter complete with seeing Frozen The Musical at Theatre Royal Drury Lane! Incredible special effects, stunning costumes and jaw-dropping scenery bring Elsa and Anna’s journey to life in a whole new way.
