Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a peaceful day out at this heritage attraction. Explore this 7 acre oasis which is home to over 6000 plant species! As you stroll around the Edwardian house, you’ll learn all about the families that lived here and how it became a part of the University of Birmingham. Take a closer look.

11. Cadbury World, Bournville

Every chocolate lover’s dream day out! Discover the history behind your favourite chocolate treats and explore the magic of how they are created. The fabulous state-of-the-art Purple Planet lets you grow your own cocoa bean and experience chocolate rain. A popular location for walkers, joggers, boat clubs and other water sports, enjoy some peace and quiet at the water’s edge. Walk, run or cycle around the 2.8km path around the reservoir and take a picnic along with you to refuel. The reservoir is home to a variety of birds, as well as newts and bats too!
