February half term is fast approaching! If you find yourself wondering about how you’re going to entertain your little ones then look no further. I’ve come up with this handy list of some fab attractions and events taking place across the UK that all of the family will love!
An Explosive Escape at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Portsmouth
18th – 25th Feb, 9:30am -5pm, Normal Admission
This February half-term kids can have a taste of what war was like in the 1940’s. A bomb has been planted by enemy spies and all of the family has 60 minutes to diffuse it by solving puzzles and clues. Find out more.
Fab Feb Family Fun at Lightwater Valley, Ripon
16th – 21st Feb, 10:30am – 3:30pm
Rain or shine fun is guaranteed at Lightwater Valley with rides galore, giant inflatables and lots of furry animals to meet and feed, including some very cute alpacas! See some amazing raptors and reptiles and let the kids go wild in the Angry Birds Activity Park. BOOK HERE.
The kids imaginations will run wild as they try adult life in a child sized city. They can test out real jobs ranging from firefighting to banking. As they ‘work’ they will earn money and then they’ll have to decide how to spend it, the money savvy could even open a deposit account at the KidZania bank. BOOK HERE.
Adventure Wonderland, Christchurch
With over 30 rides and attractions, there’s so much to be had at Adventure Wonderland for all of the family! Battle it out on the Battle Boats, go on the Dragon’s Drop Megaslide or even go see some adorable animals in the Cuddle Corner Farm! You might even get to meet some of the park characters including Alice, the Mad Hatter and The White Rabbit. Half Term Fun at Stockeld Park, Wetherby

This is the perfect place to spend a lovely day outdoors with the family this February half term. Explore the Enchanted Forest, get lost in the Maze and glide across the real ice rink set within the beautiful woodland. ‘Scribbles and Sketches’ activity Trail at Mottisfont, Romsey

Collect a sketchbook at reception and follow a trail around the beautiful grounds of this estate finding interesting things to draw. Afterwards visit the artists studio to build a mini easel to hold that masterpiece you have created! Find out more.
Scavenger Hunt at Winchester City Mil, Winchester

Pick up your ’50 Things to do’ pack from the ticket office and see how many activities you can try this half-term. The natural play area at Erddig is great for den building, balancing on logs and creating wild art. It’s all about space travel this half term so bring your space cadets here for some science facts and fiction, as well as meeting interesting characters from out of this world! Bond in Motion; Covent Garden
If your kids are 007 fans, you must add this to your places to visit list! Go to Covent Garden and see some of Bond’s most iconic vehicles along with the actual props, gadgets and costumes used in the films. There is a large exhibition dedicated to Spectre as it’s the latest film. BOOK HERE.
The London Bridge Experience, London
Perfect for older children, explore some gruesome horrible history in this fantastic attraction, where you will see, hear, smell and feel your way through historic London. Just try not to become one of Jack the Ripper’s victims! One of the best attractions for educating the kids without them realising because they’ll be having so much fun! BOOK HERE.
Magical Lantern Festival at Chiswick House Gardens, London

The Magical Lantern Festival London is definitely worth a visit and brings together brilliant art, heritage and culture in the form of colourful illuminated lanterns in various forms. This Chinese year celebrates the year of the Rooster and the theme of the festival is ‘Explore The Silk Road’. The journey begins at the Houses of Parliament and lanterns will represent Europe, Central Asia, Arabia, Egypt, Persia, India and Ancient China. Find out more.
