From Captain America, Black Panther and Iron Man too,
Disneyland Paris has lots of Marvel-themed fun for you,
It’s the summer of superheroes from now until September,
So come along to Disneyland Paris for a holiday to remember!
Day two started bright and early and 7.30am with breakfast in Cape Cod. Then we headed off to the convention centre at the hotel for a two-hour conference to hear about all of the exciting things happening at Disneyland Paris in the future and of course to tell us all about Marvel: Summer of Super Heroes. My head was bursting with lots of fabulous information and I have to say there are some very exciting things in store at Disneyland Paris, including Mickeys 90th Birthday celebrations later on the year.
Then it was back into the parks for a full day of rides, shows and all things Marvel! Rock n Roller Coaster was the first ride of the day and I was reminded why I loved this ride so much, which is slightly strange as I am not a huge roller coaster fan but I do love this one. The ride begins in the music studio watching Aerosmith chatting about the ride and then you board your own private limousine which you ride in the dark to the beats and music of Aerosmith. Speeds reach up to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds! You will also find Tower of Terror in Walt Disney Studios. I decided to give it a miss but my colleagues rode it multiple times during our time on the trip – they are much braver than me!
We spent most of the day in the studios where you can find rides such as Crush Coaster (this is worth the queue, I promise!), Ratatouille, Cars, Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop and Tower of Terror. Toy Story Playland is perfect for smaller children and the Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin is a great ride for them.
There were also a selection of great shows and experiences in the studio including Art of Disney Animations, Stitch Live!, the Studio Tram Tour and Disney Junior Live on Stage, and of course some fabulous spots to get the Instagram worthy shots!!
Next stop for us was the Stark Expo Presents: Energy for Tomorrow! This live-action show takes place on an outdoor stage opposite the Studio Theatre in Walt Disney Studios. It features a number of Marvel Super Heroes and it was very exciting seeing The Avengers assemble to fight in a colossal clash with Asgards’s evil second prince, Loki.
Following this, we went straight to the Studio Theatre for the brand new show Marvel: Super Heroes United which was amazing. This show tells the story of how some of the main heroes, including Captain America, Spider-Man and Black Widow got their powers. You’ll also see Spiderman, Iron Man and the Hulk. It is a mix of live acting and some incredible special effects., I would absolutely recommend seeing this show, and it is worth the wait I promise!
As soon as the show finished I ran over to the Disneyland Park to find a great place to watch the parade from. The parade is truly wonderful for all ages. I chose to sit near the end of the parade trail near the entrance to Main Street and it was perfect. The parade starts at 5.30pm. Disney Stars on Parade includes so many characters and is one of the only places you get to see Anna and Elsa from Frozen. My suggestion would be to grab a snack and find your spot early in order to get the best view possible as many of the characters interact with the children.
Our final night was a Marvel themed dinner at Newport Bay Club so we got all glammed up (I took this opportunity to put on my rose gold ears) and we enjoyed a champagne reception, 3-course meal including some gorgeous Marvel miniature desserts and some fabulous entertainment.
A night to remember but I didn’t quite make it to the 2am finish!
Day three blog coming soon!
