Roundheads and Cavaliers; Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire, 15th – 19th February, 11am – 3pm
Attention all mini soldiers! Your help is needed to defend this historic castle against Oliver Cromwell’s army! You’ll also get to find out what makes a good soldier and listen to tales from the battlefields.

Explorers Week; West Midlands Safari Park, Bewdley, Worcestershire, 13th – 21st February
Search the park for a missing dinosaur as you follow clues on a Discovery Trail and receive a reward once you have finished! There will also be plenty of additional fun activities including arts and crafts, talks, and animal encounters as well!

Campfire Cooking; Moseley Old Hall, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, 13th – 21st February, 12 – 3pm
There’s nothing better than yummy toasted marshmallows, especially when they’ve been cooked over a campfire! And you can do just that this half term with no need to book either, just turn up and enjoy!!

Dragon Hunt; Tamworth Castle, Staffordshire, 13th – 19th February, 11:30am – 4pm
This half term head to Tamworth Castle where Ruby the Castle dragon has gone missing and your help is needed to search for her!

Half Term at Drayton Manor Theme Park; Tamworth, Staffordshire, 13th – 21st February
For a fun day out this half term with Thomas The Tank Engine and all his friends, visit Drayton Manor. Enjoy the selected rides that will be open too including all of Thomas Land.

Family Fun Days; Packwood House, Lapworth, Warwickshire, 13th – 21st February, 11am – 3:30pm
Dust off those welly boots and enjoy a fun amble through the woods of this great house and grounds on a Welly Walk! Collect a map from the Visitor Reception and off you go to explore, splash in muddy puddles and have fun building a den.

February Half Term – Bugs! Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Birmingham, 15th – 19th February, 10am – 5pm
A whole week of creepy crawlies, arts and crafts and fun nature trails awaits kids who love to be outdoors this half-term! As well as meeting plenty of bugs and reptiles, they will get to try pond dipping and bug hunting with a special Education Team who will be around during the week.

Ancient Oceans; The National Sea Life Centre, Birmingham, 6th – 21st February
This fabulous aquarium is looking for little dinosaur detectives this half-term! Bring the kids along for a great day out completing challenges, joining in with fun activities and listening to fascinating talks.

Space Buggies; Thinktank Science Museum, Birmingham, 15th – 19th February
Bring the kids to this free workshops where they will get the chance to build a space buggy ready to send to the moon! Their imaginations can run wild with LEGO Duplo, oh and don’t forget to bring a camera to take a snap of their masterpieces!

Wacky Woods February Half Term; Macclesfield, Cheshire, 17th – 19th February, 9:30am – 5pm
The little ones will love being outdoors this half-term, so bring them to Wacky Woods for some fresh air, nature trails, den building, pond dipping and tree climbing! There is even a special family session towards the end of the week where all the grown-ups get to join in too! Yippee! 😉

Spendiferous Roald Dahl Scarecrow Festival; Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire, 13th – 21st February
Tatton Park is alive with scarecrows, all inspired by some of the books written by famous children’s author, Roald Dahl. You can follow a trail in search of Mr Twit, Violet Beauregard and Alfie the Tortoise!
