Let’s go on an adventure… we’ve got some fab ideas,
That aren’t spooky and won’t cause any tears!
From trampoline parks, fairy spotting and skiing,
To pottery cafes, water parks and some amazing museums!
Visit a Trampoline Park
Looking for a fun day out with a twist and way to burn off some excess energy? Why not head to Oxygen Freejumping, which has over 100 interconnected trampolines, dodgeball courts, giant airbags, walk-the-wall trampolines and more, at the UK’s ultimate trampoline park playground! Or head to Air Space, a huge spring-loaded urban playground for ages 5 and up. Solo or social – how you jump is up to you. You can improvise your own moves in the main arena, freestyle jump from one trampoline to the next!
Go Fairy Spotting
Enjoy the autumn sunshine by visiting some really beautiful gardens which contain a little sprinkle of magic. Whilst you’re there you can even use our special guide to help spot a fairy or two! Why not download our fairy spotting guide to take on your magical travels?
Visit a Quirky Museum
There are a number of quirky museums around the country that the family can visit where you can learn about rum, dog collars or even mustard! The Pencil Museum in Keswick will show you how a pencil is made and you can also see the world’s largest colouring pencil. They hold regular demonstrations and workshops in animation, cartoons and illustrations, as well as model making.
Go for an Indoor Water Adventure
There are some great indoor waterparks around the UK which offer plenty of fun no matter what the weather is doing! Many have slides, rides, flumes and other awesome features but you can find out more in our Indoor Waterparks blog here.
Get Creative at a Pottery Cafe
This Halloween visit a pottery painting café to get creative. The Pottery Café Fulham is a great way to spend a couple of hours, regardless of what the weather decides to do! The whole family can have a go at creating their own masterpieces from egg cups to large plates and lots more. There are members of staff on hand to help you with your creations, as well as coffees and refreshments available.
Enjoy the Great Outdoors
The weather can be somewhat unpredictable at this time of year, but if you’re lucky enough to get a good day why not get outdoors to marvel at the beautiful autumn colours. We’ve listed some very special locations across the country which offers a truly spectacular display at this time of year. Looking for the best place near you to start? Here’s our handy blog with some amazing autumn walks that you can’t miss!
Visit your Local Library
Sometimes I forget how great our local library is, as there is always something exciting going on and of course lots of books to read. The Liverpool Central Library has been thoroughly modernised and is a fantastic place to bring the family. There is a children’s room where you will find brightly coloured interiors with lots of books and hidey holes. The kids will particularly enjoy the Xbox 360, computers and iPads.
Visit a Diggerland
There are four Diggerland theme parks around the UK where adults and children can ride and drive real full size diggers, and you don’t even need a licence! Learn how to operate JCB’s of all shapes and sizes, drive a dumper truck, experience the thrill of Spin Dizzy, or just sit back, relax and enjoy the view on the Sky Shuttle.
Get Active Indoors
We have a huge selection of indoor activities listed on our website which include indoor skydiving, skiing, rock climbing and lots more. Chill Factore in Manchester is the UK’s longest indoor skiing and snowboarding slope. The 180 metre long real snow slope allows visitors of all abilities to have a go. Visitors can also try their hand at indoor climbing on the 12 metre high climbing wall!
Do you know any fab and totally un-halloween days out? We’d really love to know! Someone else might love it, and really want to go! If you’ve got ideas, suggestions or reviews, you can shout all about it on whatever channel you choose!
