These Christmas markets have everything you could as for!

Christmas is coming and you know what that means? Fantastic Christmas markets to visit! I’ve made a list of some of my favourite Christmas markets.

1. 🎅Bournemouth🎅

15th November – 1st January 2020

This Christmas market is one of the longest-running markets which means you have lots of time to visit it. Bournemouth Christmas market is one big party, with a two-storey alpine lodge, entertainment hub blasting festive music and entertainment along with an ice skating rink with a section marked off specifically for little skaters! There is also an array of stalls selling the most delicious foods and gifts perfect for friends or family. Keep the little ones entertained by exploring the Christmas Tree Wonderland where they can see over 100 glittering lights and illuminations!

2. ❄️Bath❄️

28th November – 15th December

This Christmas market is sure to get everyone into the festive spirit! Christmas is known for the spirit of giving, so there will be lots of charities with stalls giving you information about their cause along with the option to give donations, along with the usual delicious food and creative craft stalls! Make sure to also check out the ice skating rink along with the glow-in-the-dark mini golf which the whole family can get their competitive streak on. One of the reasons Bath Christmas Market really stands out is due to their main theme of sustainability! Before you visit make sure to purchase a reusable cup from the Visitor Information Centre to reduce plastic on your warm drinks. P.S if you’re in Bath, why not take a 12minute train and visit the Bristol Christmas Market! Bristol Christmas Market will be on from the 8th November until 23rd December.

3. 🎄Winchester🎄

21st November – 22nd December

This Christmas Market has been voted one of the top 8 Christmas Markets in Europe! Located at Winchester Cathederal this market is known for its artisan food and supporting local talented craftspeople selling jewellery, paintings and art made of glass! There is also a nativity scene that you can have a look at and take a Christmas picture with. After enjoying the Christmas Market and having a cheeky glass of mulled wine, make sure to enjoy one of the musical performances!

4. ☃Winter Wonderland☃

21st November – 5th January

I’m sure you’ve heard of this Christmas Market! Known for its large size and amount of attractions, this is one that the whole family will adore for a fun family day out. Older and younger thrill-seekers will love the different rides that are available such as the Munich Looping for the older kids which is the largest transportable roller coaster along with little ones enjoying rides such as the wave swinger! The best thing about Winter Wonderland is little ones can visit Santa Claus in his Christmas grotto and what’s best, it’s free to visit him. Kids will be able to get a free gift along with souvenir pictures available. Make sure to also check out one of the live shows on!

5. 🎅York🎅

14th November – 22nd December

York is known for being a beautiful town with streets that look straight out of Harry Potter along with their fantastic Christmas Market! Walk down the streets and gaze at the stalls as you smell mulled wine and delicious German hotdogs fill the air. There is also lots of exciting family entertainment to watch along with why not have a visit to the immersive Van Gogh installation. This installation brings Van Gogh’s paintings to life by using virtual reality, music, animations, optical illusions along with 360-degree projections! This is definitely a fun day out with lots of other stuff to explore in the city of York.

6. ❄️Manchester❄️

8th November – 22nd December

Parents, this Christmas market will make the perfect date night! With 300 stalls for you to browse and the most mouthwatering food such as halloumi fries and smores, there is also a snow globe bar this winter. The snow globe bar is quite literally how it sounds…a giant snow globe! Gin lovers will want to visit as they will be able to get gin hot toddies and other seasonal drinks. Whilst enjoying a drink make sure to also listen to the regular live music performances.

7. 🎄Leeds🎄

8th November – 21st November

Ever wanted to have breakfast with Santa? At Leeds Christmas market your dream can become a reality! Enjoy a festive buffet with Santa coming around for a chat. Along with the Santa breakfast, there are also lots of free weekly children shows featuring Winter Wonderland Princesses in the market square stage for little ones to enjoy! After looking at all the stalls I’m sure you’ll want to sit down and enjoy some warm food and drinks. Make your way over to the Kuh Stall where families can sit back and enjoy their food in front of a log fire! This is definitely a Christmas market that children will adore.

8. ☃Edinburgh☃

16th November – 4th January

If you love Christmas then this is one you need to visit as it’s on right up until the new year! What I think is really amazing about this market is the number of shows and rides that it has to offer. Featuring rides perfect for little ones such as a balloon ride, carousel and a Helter Skelter to more thrilling rides such as The Yeti and Star Flyer! A show which is a must-see is definitely “Now That’s What I Call Christmas”. This festive show will be playing all your favourite Christmas hits live on a big stage. Along with the fantastic shows and rides, there are also free events to enjoy such as a Nativity Carol Concert and Winter Windows display!

9. 🎅Birmingham🎅

7th November – 23rd December

Everyone knows the best part of a Christmas market is the German hotdogs, at this market, it features all things, German! With the usual delicious bratwurst hotdogs, why not try other German delicacies such as pretzels, schnitzels and roasted almonds. I’m sure with all this yummy food, you’ll be wanting a drink, so why not indulge in a gluhwein or weissbeer for the adults and a soothing hot chocolate for the kids! This is definitely the Christmas Market for foodies.
