Usually reserved for school and group bookings Centre of the Cell open to the public during school holidays. It is located inside a distinctive orange Pod suspended above the laboratories in the Blizard Institute in Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. When you visit you will be able to see scientists at work! This half term the ‘pod’ show is ‘Teethtastic’! We all want kids to know how important teeth are and this fantastic show will teach them all about how to have healthy teeth and gums. They can take part in a chomping challenge and even learn how to make toothpaste for elephants! It’s not all just about teeth though, whilst you are there they can have a go at experiments, learn how to heal virtual burns and diagnose cancer using real body parts under microscopes.

This great event organised by the Wandsworth Museum allows families to hunt for clues together finding out the secrets of Battersea’s history. Pick up trail booklets from the Battersea Arts Centre, follow the clues and find all the answers to claim a prize! (Please note this is an outdoor trail)

This half-term is your last chance to explore London City in search of some amazing baa-brilliant Shaun the Sheep sculptures designed by some very talented artists, designers and celebrities. There are over 100 Shaun the Sheep placed in iconic places around London on a ewe-nique trail! Catch them quickly before the entire flock takes off for the green pastures of Bristol!

This half-term visit the brand new Butterfly House and see hundreds of beautiful butterflies from around the world you can get extra close to them and learn all about their life cycle too. To celebrate Cbeebies Tree Fu Tom will be appearing in special LIVE show that transports children into the magical world of Treetopolis! The show runs from 23rd-25th May. There’s even a fun Tree Fu Tom Trail to take part in!

This free drop-in session offers kids the opportunity to meet live bugs from Knowsley Safari Park and the chance to make their own bugs to take home! This event is inspired by the exhibition ‘Micrographia’ currently being shown at the Tate Hall Museum.

Lets go Fly a Kite! This free family event is a great way for the kids to spend a day outdoors in the fresh air flying a kite and learning some great tips from kite experts. You can bring your own kite or why not make one there on the day? This event takes place next to the reservoir.

Enjoy all the fun at Stockton Park, including the roller rink, inflatable zone, play areas and more. On 31st May there’s a very special vitiator coming to the park. This very cute half-term event enables kids to be a postmaster or postmistresses of the local post office from years gone by. Dinosaurs have arrived in Longleat for the summer! Are you brave enough to explore the park in hunt of the amazing life-size creatures as they come to alive in front of you! Meet Triceratops, a Stegosaurus and of course the terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex plus many more. A resident dinosaur expert will be on hand to answer any questions and kids can be mini palaeontologists testing their skills in the dinosaur discovery zone.

This museum displays the UK’s largest car exhibition with over 400 cars and bikes from the nostalgic 50’s – now! This half-term the kids can learn how a car engine works! From single cylinder engines to much bigger V16’s, they all make a noise, some louder than others! The tours are especially designed to enthral the children but secretly this is one for the ‘petrol head’ dads (and mums) out there! Tours are at 11am and 3pm.
