What To Do This Half Term In The West of England and Wales – October 2016

It’s October and the kids are off so it’s time to get out and about and enjoy some autumn sunshine. This half term there are some fantastic events taking place at an attraction near you and here’s my list of things NOT to miss!

Halloween Festival: Longleat Adventure and Safari Park, Warminster
22nd-30th Oct

This half term enjoy all the usual Longleat fun, drive the safari and meet the animals plus join in with the fun Halloween activities. Spooky characters are wandering the site and may give you a trick or treat if you brave the Halloween train!   Halloween Witch Hunt; Puzzlewood, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire
22nd – 30th October

  Spooky Science for Half Term; Techniquest, Cardiff
28th October

Find out just how creepy science can be at the Halloween Spooky Science Show. You can come in your scariest outfits too, if you like! This attraction will be open throughout the half term holiday. Find out more.

  Pumpkin Carving; Rhondda Heritage Park, Pontypridd, Cardiff
30th -31st October

This Halloween half term your kids can enjoy a pumpkin carving frenzy at Rhondda Heritage Park, as well as arts and crafts, face painting and funfair rides! Find out more.

  The Halloween Ghost Train at Vale of Rheidol; Llanelli, Wales
22nd – 30th October

Bring the kids in their spookiest costumes for a day of Halloween fun this half-term. They can follow a Pirate Treasure Trail or hunt for mini beasts and other creepy crawlies in the ponds. There will be fun Halloween themed workshops the kids will love. Find out more.

  Spooky Halloween at Folly Farm; Saundersfoot, Wales
22nd – 30th October

Ghostly goings on are definitely happening down on the farm this Halloween! Bring your little monsters for a fun day out where they can handle unusual creatures, follow trails and join in with creepy crafts.

Spooky Torchlit Tours; Bristol Aquarium, Harbourside, Bristol
28th October – 6-8pm

Due to popular demand the Ghoul-Guided Family friendly tour is back! The attraction will be freakishly spooky as twilight falls and who knows what might be lurking in the darkness. Pre-booking is essential as this is an after hours event. Find out more.

For a haunted Halloween half-term head to Bristol Zoo Gardens for a frighteningly ghosty time!
