If you’re looking for ways to keep your little elves and angels entertained during those slightly quieter moments over the festive season, why not get them making their very own Christmas tree decorations? These rustic looking twig and ribbon ones are cute and easy to make… plus they’ll add a personal touch to the family tree!
What you’ll need:
A selection of twigs
Festive ribbon of your choice
Twine
Scissors
First, start by cutting a few piece of your ribbon, getting gradually bigger each time. I cut out five for mine! Remember to make them long enough so that they tie easily.
Starting with the smallest piece at the top, begin tying your pieces of ribbon around the twig.
Then, once all of your ribbon has been tied on, cut out your piece of twine that will act as the hanger for your decoration.
Starting from the middle of the twine, tie it around the top of the twig, making sure its nice and secure.
Then, at the top of the twine, tie a pretty bow.
Repeat the above steps until you’ve created as many decorations as you like. You could even alternative each twig with different ribbon!
The final step? Add them to your tree for a personal, festive and rustic touch!
