The Royal Pavilion Annual Open Day; Brighton, 17th January, 10am-4:30pm
Once a year the admission charges to the wonderful pavilion are waived so you don’t want to miss out! Learn about the fascinating history of this remarkable building with all the family, during one of the hosted talks.

Behind the Scenes Tour; Great North Museum, Newcastle upon Tyne, 16th and 17th January, 11am-1pm
Suited to children aged 8 and over, bring the kids along to an informative tour of this museum. You will get to see an array of awesome items, some of which aren’t even on display, such as bones from animals and masks made from spiders webs!

Star Attractions at the Museum; National Museum Cardiff, 16th January, 11am-4pm
Bring the family along for a day of fun activities dedicated to the wonderful world of astronomy! There will be workshops, quizzes, a 3D space show and dazzling displays in celebration of BBC’s Stargazing Live. You will get to see a collection of meteorites and learn all about them, as well as looking through telescopes.

Winter Lights at Canary Wharf; London, 16th and 17th January, 4-9pm
Come along and see Canary Wharf lit up with sculptures and structures designed by international artists. What’s even more exciting is that they can be controlled by mobile devices and even bodies – how cool! The kids will love seeing the inflatable alien and LED butterflies, and there is a very special display dedicated to Syrian refugees.

The city will come alive with a fantastic display of interactive installations and 3D projections by artists from around the world. See London’s most iconic building from the West End to Leicester Square illuminated with incredible creations which all the family will love.

Pentacle Wassail; Pevensey, East Sussex, 16th January, from 6:30pm
Bring the kids to a Drummers Wassail which is an unusual annual event and lots of fun! There will be a torch procession, live music and drumming from the brilliant Pentacle Drummers, as well as plenty of Morris dancing! The little ones will love the face painting, apple bobbing and fun and games galore!
