Pistyll Rhaeadr, Wales


Take the family to see this stunning waterfall which cascades 240ft from top to bottom, which makes it the tallest in the UK. There are a number of walks for the family to explore the stunning surrounding scenery and a café to grab some refreshments afterwards.

Bluebell Dairy, Derby


Bluebell Dairy is a working farm that for family to visit. There’s a small play area for the children, adorable animals to meet and delicious ice creams to sample.

BBC Birmingham Public Space, Birmingham


Inside the Mailbox in Birmingham is a fun interactive space. You can have a go at reading and recording the news or weather report, watch the real presenters in the studios or even get your photo take with Doctor Who’s Tardis and a Darlek.

Imperial War Museum London

You can learn all about peoples experiences of modern warfare and conflict at this outstanding museum. There are exhibitions on the First World War, the Holocaust, London families during wartime Britain and so much more.

The People’s Palace and Winter Gardens, Glasgow


The People’s Palace and Winter Gardens are set in the oldest public space in Glasgow and are great places to bring the family. Inside the palace you can learn about the story of the people and the city of Glasgow from 1750 to the present day. There are collections of social artefacts, paintings, prints, photographs and films along with interactive computer displays.

Royal Air Force Museum Cosford, Shropshire


This superb museum has over 70 aircraft for you to see including the world’s oldest Spitfire and a Lincoln Bomber. This is the only place in the UK where you can see Britain’s three V bombers the Vulcan, Victor and Valiant.

Bank of England Museum, London

On a visit to this museum you can learn all about the history of banking. There are displays full of coins, notes and banking tools and there’s even the chance to hold a gold bar.

This museum is a perfect place to visit if you have football fans in the family. Learn all about the history of the beautiful game as you make your way around the interactive exhibitions and large collections of memorabilia.

Doniford Farm, Somerset


This farm is set right by the Bristol Channel so there are some beautiful views. There’s lots to do including meeting alpacas, birds of prey, meerkats, rabbits and goats, plus the children will enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas.

Cuswoth Hall & Park, South Yorkshire


You can visit this Grade 1 listed country house to see the restored kitchen, bake house, still room and laundry. The grounds are great for exploring as there’s lots to see including a gorgeous lake.

National Media Museum, Bradford


Inside this fantastic museum you can learn all about the world of film, photography, TV, radio and the web. There are three cinema screens showing a variety of films, plus many interactive exhibitions.
