7 Free Days Out This Weekend 7th-8th November

We hope you enjoyed half-term, and now as the kids are back at school until Christmas we are left wondering where on earth this year has gone! However, there’s still plenty going on all over the country from firework displays to Christmas themed activities, and we have found some FREE events happening this weekend which all the family will enjoy!

Dunfermline Fireworks; Pittencrieff Park, Fife, 7th November, 6pm

Fife’s firework spectacular is back for its annual display to impress thousands of eager spectators, and this year with a Superheroes theme! Watch synchronized fireworks and lasers to the nations most loved superheroes-themed music which include Thunderbirds, Batman and James Bond…as well as many others!

Christmas at Duke of York Square; Chelsea, London, 7th November

Don’t miss The Kings Road Christmas lights switch on at 4pm, as well as plenty of fun and festive activities including an appearance from Father Christmas and his hardworking elves! If you fancy getting a head start on the mountain of present wrapping that awaits you, there is also a free gift wrapping service!

Blackheath Fireworks; London, 7th November

One of the biggest free community displays in London, the family friendly Blackheath fireworks display will be lighting up the Lewisham sky. There will also be food and drinks stalls, plus a funfair for everyone to enjoy.

St Lawrence Church Autumn Fayre; Barnwood, Gloucester, 7th November, 10am – 2pm

Visit this annual Autumn Fayre and get some of your Christmas shopping done in the beautiful surroundings of an ancient church dating back to Norman times. Don’t worry, there’s plenty to keep the little ones amused with various planned activities and face painting.

Destination Space Show! The World Museum; Liverpool, 7th & 8th November, 2pm and 3pm

Don’t miss this fantastic interactive family show where you will learn all about astronauts, from how they cope with life in space as well to carrying out important tasks!

Light Parade; Carnegie House, Bridgend, Wales, 7th November, 4-6pm

Put your warm clothes on and join in with a celebration of light through the town centre. Collect a lantern from Carnegie House and join the parade with live performances, projections and plenty of food and drink. Local children have been getting involved so this event is not to be missed!

Fenwick Unwrapped Launch Day; Discovery Museum Newcastle, 7th November

To celebrate the opening of the festive exhibition “Fenwick Unwrapped” there is a fun-filled Christmas themed day at the Discovery Museum. Expect plenty of carol singing, crafts, and even Santa will be arriving with his reindeer to greet everyone.
