What’s on this weekend! (14th & 15th March 2015)

Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park, London: Frog Day, 15th March 12pm, FREE
It’s the time of year when frogs ‘wake up’! Celebrate Mother’s Day at Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park and look at frog spawn up close through a microscope plus join in with pond dipping fun and craft! What’s more, mum’s will be treated to free tea and cake!

Sealife London Aquarium, London: SpongeBob Trail, Adults from £19.98, Children from £14.41
This weekend (and for the rest of March) follow the SpongeBob trail around the aquarium. Take a closer look at the tanks as well as all the usual marine wildlife such as turtles, sharks and penguins.   You will be able to spot mini underwater models of SpongeBob, his home and of course his friends!

Conkers, Derbyshire: All Weather Adventure! Children £7.23 Adults £8.87 (under 2’s free)
This is an all-weather family attraction with a mix of indoor and outdoor activities in the middle of the National Forest. Indoors there are four discovery zones designed for all ages (even adults!) and outdoors there are over 120 acres of woodland, lakes and gardens to explore. Ride around on the Conkerchoo train, which links the Waterside and Discovery centres, plus for older children (13+ ) there is a brilliant assault course!

The Deep Hull, Hull: Deep Sea Fun! Adults £10.57, Children £8.77 10am-6pm
For a watery fun-filled family day visit this spectacular aquarium with over 3,500 fish including Europe’s only pair of green sawfish, sharks, turtles, penguins and rays. The kids can learn about the history of the oceans and walk around the 2.5million litres of fish filled water at the Endless Oceans exhibit.

Mother’s Day at Basildon Park, Berkshire: 15th March, £12.50, Child £6 (for access to house and gardens, garden only access is cheaper)
Enjoy the house and beautiful gardens this Sunday and little ones will be able to make a special handmade gift for Mum! There are workshops throughout the day and no booking is required.

Bluecoat, Liverpool: Expolore! Free Family Arts and Craft Activity Saturday 14th 1-4pm (and every Saturday)
A fairground for budding artists with painting, cutting, sticking, planting, photography and much more. These creative family activities are based on current exhibitions so you can wander the gallery then create your own masterpiece!

Glasgow Science Museum Adults £10.50, Children £8.50 (+£2.50 for the planetarium)
Shows, experiments, explosions and more! Your children will love testing their skills as a ‘real scientist’ by getting hands on with the 100’s of interactive displays! They can even build their own bubble blower to make huge bubbles! Then Roll up! Roll up! For the Theatre of Science ‘Water Water Everywhere’ show and learn about the journey of water from rain drops to taps. A brilliant day out for the whole family.

Drayton Manor Staffordshire: Mothers Day Lunch + Theme Park
Visit Drayton Manor, the Home of Thomas Land for just £10 this Mother’s Day if you also treat Mum to lunch in the Parklands Restaurant.
