What’s On This Half Term In The East Of England – February 2016

Here is our guide to events happening this February half-term in the East of England.

Children’s Activities; Waddesdon Manor, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, From 13th February

Kids of all ages and (of course the grown-ups) are invited to enjoy some great drop-in sessions every weekend where they can join in with fab activities and creative fun. No need to book just turn up!

Half Term Fun! Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, 13th – 28th February, from 10:15am

If you’re a fan of Roald Dahl, a visit to this museum is a must for this half term! The whole week is packed with activities from decorating bug jars, creating a mini giant peach to story telling sessions or following a daffodil trail around the museum.

Face Your Fears Week! Tropical Wings World of Wildlife; Chelmsford, Essex, 13th – 21st February, 10am – 5pm

We are all scared of something, so this week is the perfect opportunity to face your fears whilst having fun! Get close and personal with snakes, spiders, rats and lots of other very beautiful (honestly) creatures. Afterwards enjoy a ‘Wild Earth’ show and join in with some great craft activities!

Feathered Friends Fun! The Shuttleworth Collection; Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, 15th – 16th February

To celebrate  National Bird Feeding month, bring the kids along where they can join in with lots of crafty fun and activities making tasty things for birds! Yum yum!

Spring Half Term; Pigeons Farm Children’s Activity Farm, Peterborough, 12th – 21st February

Bring the family along for a fun day out and see the newborn baby bunnies and guinea pigs in Cuddles Corner! The farm is going Star Wars crazy on Monday 15th, and all the family can meet characters from the Star Wars film! Don’t forget to dress the kids in their best Star Wars outfits for a chance to win a prize.

This half-term everyone in the family is invited to a special ‘Build a Nest Box Week’ Booking is essential but every child that builds a box get to eat for free in the cafe!

Family Survival School; Sheringham Park, Norfolk, 19th February, 10:30am – 3:30pm

Find out if your family has what it takes to survive in the wild in this fantastic bushcraft survival day for all the family! Learn how to light a fire, hunt for food, and build a weatherproof shelter. Oh, and you’ll also learn how to navigate with a map and compass – no family disagreements please! ?

Lambing is back! Mead Open Farm, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, 6th – 21st February, 10am – 6:30pm

Yippee it’s that time of the year when the newborn lambs arrive at the farm, so come along to welcome them and help feed the older lambs. After you’ve visited, You can even watch what’s happening in the nursery on LambCam 2016!
