This magical festive season is waiting,
so let’s start the fun with activities that are captivating!

Let the Christmas party games commence!

Christmas is just around the corner and we know that your little ones will be getting excited about the festive magic! We’ve compiled our list of top party games to play during December to keep your children both excited and entertained!

Santa Limbo!

This game is absolutely hilarious for families of all ages! Participants must make a  “Santa belly” by putting a pillow up their shirt. Place or make a limbo stick out of any household items at a starting height. Line up, and one by one, try to limbo underneath until everyone has tried. Keep lowering the stick until eventually, one winner remains! This is an excellent game if you have excited little ones!

20 Questions: Christmas Edition!

This game is a festive twist on the world-famous “20 questions” game! One player, the person answering, will need to pick a Christmas-themed object. All other players ask the player “yes” or “no” questions to guess what the object is. If no one guesses correctly after 20 questions, the answerer has won and picks a new object for the start of the next round. If someone guesses correctly, they take over and pick their own Christmas object!

Guess The Christmas Song!

Next up is the Christmas song guesser! Participants must split up into two groups with one referee. The referee uses a “Christmas hits” playlist on any chosen platform and proceeds to press shuffle. Each team must shout out the song name and the artist, first to shout out the correct name/artist wins a point for each one they get right! If participants guess the song and artist wrong, it passes over to the other team to guess.

Stocking Guessing Game!

This randomized game is an excellent pass time during the December festive season! Players will need to separate into two teams. One person from the household needs to fill up a stocking (this person won’t be able to take part) with Christmas-themed items or random items from around the house. Each team gets 3 minutes to feel the stocking and write down what they think is inside, whoever gets the most items correct wins!

Blindfold Christmas Drawing!

All players in this game are blindfolded! Every player must hold a paper plate on top of their head whilst one person described a Christmas object or scene. Each player must make their best attempt at drawing the scene/object whilst being blindfolded. The most accurate drawing wins! This game and its instructions are provided by Happy Home Fairy.

Stocking Fill-Up!

For this exciting game, you’ll need to form two teams based on how many players there are. Place a Christmas stocking for each team at the end of the room and make sure there’s enough space to get to them. The players will then race to the end of the room with a spoonful of candy, deposit the candy, and then return and pass on the spoon to their team. This relay continues until one team has completely filled their stocking!

Gift Wrap-Up!

This game is excellent for a family of 4! Have participants pair off. Tie one person’s right hand to the left hand of their teammate. The duos will then attempt to wrap a gift using their free hands. Have an example gift for everyone to replicate, the harder the funnier. Give a time of 2 minutes and have a judge pick the most accurate gift!

Penguin Waddle Game!

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a pennguin? What better time than during the festive season! Split into two teams, form an orderly line at one end of the room and make a finishing point at the other end of the room. Each starting player must place a balloon between their legs and waddle to the other side of the room and back again, passing the balloon to the next player WITHOUT using their hands. Once one of the teams has finished at least 2 runs of the room, they are the winner!

Candy Cane Catch!

To play this game you’ll need to tie a piece of ribbon, tinsel, string or twine from one post or chair to another. Players must stand on top of the chairs and attempt to drop a candy cane from the chair onto the ribbon and get it to stay there. Play until one person manages to get their cane to stay on the ribbon, or see who can do it the most in a minute!

Find The Decoration!

Once again, for this game, you’ll need to split into two teams, and prepare for an advanced game of hide and seek with a festive twist! One player from each team will need to be the designated hider, they will hide a Christmas object in the house or a specific room. The other team will have 5 minutes to attempt to find the item, if they cannot, the other team gains a point! Keep going until one team gets 5 points!
