Where to Spot Twinkling Christmas Lights

Who doesn’t love beautiful twinkling lights to add to the festive spirit of Christmas? If you’re on the hunt for where to spot some, here’s a handy list of some dazzling locations around the UK!

 Festival of Light, Longleat Safari & Adventure Park, Wiltshire

11th November – 2nd January 2017

 Santa’s Enchanted Ice Castle, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol

10th November – 8th January 2017

Don’t miss the musical light display at Santa’s Enchanted Castle this Christmas! You will also get to meet the Ice Queen and her Ice Fairies before meeting Santa Claus himself! Find out more.

 Enchanted Christmas, Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire

25th November – 18th December

Wrap up in your winter warmers and see all the trees lit up in a beautiful one mile illuminated trail which really is not to be missed! Father Christmas will be visiting all the well behaved children, and there will also be carol singing and festive crafts to entertain all the family. Find out more.

 Enchanted Tales and Illuminations, Wicksteed Park, Northamptonshire

Runs between 4pm and 8pm on 9th, 10th, & 11th December and then daily between 13th and 23rd December

Encounter this enchanting experience as you stroll around the fairground and enjoy views of spellbinding Chinese lantern animals, along with nature lanterns. You can explore up high in the Tree Top Walk, the Astroslide and other fairground experiences. Entertainers will perform story tales hourly and various outlets will be selling refreshments.  Winter Lights, Corfe Castle, Dorset

Saturday 10th – 30th December, 10am – 7pm

Don’t miss the fantastic light show as the historic ruins of Corfe Castle will be lit up to celebrate Christmas. There will be special effects and lanterns, as well as medieval beacons! Find out more.

 Gardens Of Light Festival, Bournemouth Lower Gardens, Dorset

18th November – 3rd January

Bournemouth Lower Gardens will be illuminated this Christmas for their spectacular light display! The ever popular ice rink will also be making a return, as well as Father Christmas and the Santa Express! Don’t forget to pick up a hot chocolate or glass of mulled wine! Find out more.

 A Family Christmas, Kingston Lacy, Wimborne, Dorset

Thursday 1st December – 1st January, 10am – 4pm
(Closed on the 24-25th December)

Take a winter wonderland walk through Kingston Lacy’s magical light display and explore Christmas through the eyes of the Bankes’ children. Finish the evening with a winter warming treat from the cafe or pick up a gift in the shop! Find out more.

Don’t miss the iconic Christmas Lights in Regent Street and Oxford Street this Christmas. As usual the twinkling lights will make the street come alive and put you in the festive spirit instantly. There are 1778 snowball decorations suspended above the street! Find out more.

 Echoes of Calke’s Christmas Past, Calke Abbey, Derbyshire

3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th December (the three weekends in December before Christmas) , 11am – 6pm

Enjoy a unique Christmas at Calke Abbey and see lights, shadows and whispers as Calke’s Christmas past brings the abbey alive! You’ll also get to explore the tunnels and catch a glimpse of the house. Find out more.

 Drayton’s Magical Christmas, Drayton Manor Theme Park, Staffordshire

Selected dates from 19th November until 31st December, 9am-5pm (closed at 6pm on weekends

You are guaranteed to have a magical time at Drayton Manor this Christmas. See the extra special Christmas Tree light show which all the children love, as well as paying the reindeer a visit, experiencing real snow, and of course watching the Christmas Parade. Find out more.

 Music and Lights at Fountains Abbey, North Yorkshire

26th November – 31st December, 3 – 5pm

 The Snowflake Trail, Liverpool City Centre

Thursday 1st December – Tuesday 3rd January

The city has been transformed into a winter wonderland perfect for little Christmas explorers! Collect a snowflake trail map and hunt for clues dotted around the city and you could win a prize. Don’t miss Britain’s largest snowflake light sculpture in Williamson Square. Find out more.
