Check out this blog for some magical tips!
From refillable cups to preplanned dinner reservations,
These simple tricks can make you enjoy your Disney vacations!

If you are heading to Walt Disney World Resort with the family, Check out some of our top tips and tricks to help you be more prepared for your magical holiday!

1. Arrive early to the park

I know it can be tempting to have a bit of a lie-in when on holiday, but trust me, you’ll not regret waking up early to enter the park! During the earlier hours not only is the park noticeably more empty, but the lines are so much shorter. Plus, you can always enjoy a delicious breakfast in the park!

2. Book a character wake-up call!

If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll definitely not want to miss out on this! If you want to persuade little ones (or yourself) to wake up earlier to get to the park, pre-book a wake-up call. You can do this from the comfort of your own room just using the phone! Choose your little one’s favourite character to wake you up along with the time. I recommend a call from Mickey!

3. Let Walt Disney World Resort know the celebration!

There’s no doubt about it, Walt Disney World Resort is truly a magical place! If you’re visiting whilst celebrating any occasion let them know either at your hotel or when you’re entering the park. You’ll receive a badge and cast members will go out of their way to congratulate you on the occasion!

4. Book FastPass+ in advance!

We all want to avoid waiting in long queues for our favourite attractions. I highly recommend booking a FastPass+ in advance before your trip. Here’s our list of the rides that are definitely worth getting the passes for!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Alien Swirling Saucers, Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster & Tower of Terror™
Epcot: Frozen Ever After, Soarin’ Around the World, Test Track & Epcot Forever.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: AVATAR Flight of Passage & Na’vi River Journey

5. Make restaurant reservations in advance!

I can’t stress enough just how magical character dining experiences are! If your little one has a favourite Disney character they really want to meet, character dining is a guaranteed way to meet them along with getting a picture and autograph. The only down-side to these experiences is that they do fill up rather quickly, so be prepared and reserve as soon as possible! Trust me, you won’t regret it.

6. Order food using your mobile

Imagine this, you’re hungry, little ones are hungry and guess what, the WHOLE park is also hungry! Avoid the queues and hungry tummies by ordering food on the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can mobile order food at these Disney parks:

Magic Kingdom Park
Epcot
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Disney Springs

7. Purchase a refillable cup & popcorn

All that walking around, queuing with the added Florida sun can make everyone super thirsty! I highly recommend getting a refillable cup. You can purchase the cups and pay a set price and refill them as much as you want during your stay with lots of options from fizzy drinks, water & hot drinks. A popcorn bucket is also a good purchase as you can refill as much as you want, meaning as many snacks as you want during your stay. Plus, the cups and buckets make really cute souvenirs to take home!

The restaurants you can refill your cups at are:
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons & Electric Umbrella
Magic Kingdom Park: Be Our Guest
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Backlot Express
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Restaurantosaurus & Santu’li Canteen

8. Get free water at counter service!

It can get really hot in Florida, especially during the summer months! If you’re struggling with the heat and need some water, you can get free water at the counter services!

9. Go on rides during parades!

Whilst the parades are really magical to see, if you’ve already seen them, why not use that as an opportunity to go on the rides! Whilst the rest of the park are enjoying the parades you can enjoy the rides without having to queue for too long!

10. Bring a pushchair!

As we all know, little ones can get tired of walking long distances! The Disney parks are big and with the added heat from the sun, a pushchair is a great option. You can get a pushchair inside for 15$ per day, but we recommend taking your own if you can! If you do decide to take your own pushchair, Walt Disney World Resort require them to be no larger than 31” (79cm) wide and 52” (132cm) long.
