Explore London at night through a variety of FREE events at the Museum of London this half term. The events are inspired by the major photography exhibition London Nights which launched on 11th May.
There’s a whole range of activities on offer, including storytelling, large-scale arts and crafts, interactive workshops and more! Take a look at some of the things that you can take part in…
Night time tunes
Enjoy singing, performing, magic tricks and some exciting night-time anecdotes from London’s musical past. Find out more here.
Moon Man
Dance the night away when the man in the moon visits London for one night only! Hear how the man in the moon comes to earth to dance the night away after having watched people on earth dancing. Together with an astronomy enthusiast, learn some of the dances the man in the moon might have seen. Each performance is 30 minutes long. Find out more here.
Light Up London
Light up famous London landmarks and create atmospheric pictures by using special art materials and techniques with water-soluble graphite pencils, crayons, and collage. Find out more here.
Victorian Lanterns

Early Man
You can also head back to the Stone Age with free screenings of Aardman’s Early Man. Get ready for an extraordinary journey into an exciting new world unleashing an unforgettable tribe of unique and funny characters voiced by an all-star British cast. Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of courageous caveman hero Dug (Academy Award®-winner Eddie Redmayne) and his best friend Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth (Tom Hiddleston) and his Bronze Age City to save their home. Alongside the screenings, there will be a range of drop-in, family-friendly activities. Learn the art of flint-making using soap, touch and hold real prehistoric artifacts and much more. The screenings are in celebration of Early Man’s release on digital download on 21 May and on DVD and Blu-ray on 28 May. Find out more here.
