Gain an insight into the chronological history of banking at this wonderful museum. The exhibitions regularly change but you’ll be sure to find something fascinating and there are historic coins and notes available to look at! You’ll see some wonderful art on display, all connected to the history of the bank. This 2,000 year old bath house and temple, built next to the country’s only hot spring, has four main features: the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the Museum. The museum is home to wonderful artefacts including Roman currency coins, a gilt bronze head of the goddess Sulis Minerva, discovered in 1727 and also the central image of the Gorgon’s head!
