1. Great British Farm Day, Various Locations

Since 2006, farms around the UK have been opening their gates to the public for one Sunday each year. You can discover first hand what it means to be a farmer and the amazing work they do to produce our food, enhancing the countryside and all the goods and services farmers provide. 2. Bristol Food Connections, Bristol

11th – 17th June 2018

A full week of events across the city will tempt, tantalise, enlighten and educate you about some of the best food from Bristol and beyond. They had a year off last year but they’re coming back bigger than ever this year with over 100 events taking place over the week. This year’s theme is ‘time’ and all aspects of how it links to food – fast food vs. slow food, the future of food, how our history was shaped by the way we eat, and so much more! Find out more here.

Newcastle Quayside has been transformed with palm trees, deckchairs, colourful beach huts and golden sand so you can have a seaside adventure in the comfort of the city. 7. The Royal Highland Show at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh

21st – 24th June 2018

Celebrating its 178th year, The Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland’s most iconic events. Get up close to some of the best livestock in the country, see showjumping ponies, and enjoy exceptional food and drink. 8. Manchester Day 2018, Manchester

Now in its eighth year, Manchester Day is a proud celebration of Manchester people and their shared history. This years theme is Word on the Street, celebrating Manchester’s reputation as a pioneering voice throughout history. Manchester’s city centre squares will feature a dazzling array of performances, decorations and mouth-watering food and drink throughout the day. 9. The World of Beatrix Potter, Windermere

This weeklong event is thought to be one of the longest surviving in Cornwall. From early afternoon each day, you can enjoy a whole host of events including exhibitions, demonstrations, live music and lots of fish dishes to eat. The kids will love crabbing in the harbour and watching the fishing boat races. Along with choirs and bands, colourful parades, a fete and a huge firework display, this is a week of fun for all ages.
