Featuring shows, drop in activities, exhibitions, experiments and more the Manchester Science Festival is a fantastic 11 day event taking place at Manchester Science and Industry Museum plus other venues across Greater Manchester from 22nd Oct-1st Nov 2015! A perfect way to keep busy this half term!
Families with children of all ages will be able to explore and learn together. Meet scientists, hackers, musicians and and artists. Get hands on with experiments and exhibitions as you learn about space, drones, robots, food, water and zillions of other things!
Budding scientists can put their senses to the test at the ‘Cravings’ exhibition at Manchester Museum of Science & Industry. Watch a mini space rocket launch and find out how Astronauts poo at Jodrell Bank Science centre. Get hands on with ‘Messy Science’ at the University of Bolton (hands up who wants to dissect an owl pellet!! Yuk!) and play with musical robots at the University of Salford!
Rock your inner geek and create your own computer programs at the National Football Museum and check out over 40 hands on exhibitions and experiments at Manchester Museum and Whitworth Hall.
If music is your thing then check out the Royal Northern College of Music’s Family Day. Explore the link between music and science as you sing, shout, listen and learn!
