Five Minute Smoothies


Smoothies are often my saviour when I am in need of a quick & easy treat packed full of fruit. I just love how my blender does most of the work. Here are some smoothie recipes that I make at home.

Chocolate and Banana Smoothie


This recipe is great because you can sneak in a little avocado for some added goodness.

What you need:

6 overripe bananas
3 tsp cocoa powder
230ml milk
½ an avocado

Just simply add all these ingredients into a food processor or blender and process until you have a smooth mixture.

Mango Smoothie


This sweet and tasty smoothie will be a hit with the kids.

What you need:

1 mango, cut into pieces
1 banana
230ml yoghurt
2 tbsp honey

Add all the ingredients and process until smooth. If you like your’s really sweet, add more honey.

Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie

What you need:

65ml of yoghurt
1 banana
2 tbsp peanut butter
70 ml milk
Handful of ice

Process all of the ingredients together until smooth. The smoothie can be made without ice if you prefer your smoothie to be less chilled.

Blueberry Muffin Smoothie


I make this smoothie when I need a smoothie that’s really filling as well as delicious. 

What you need:

70 ml milk
120ml vanilla Greek yoghurt
60g blueberries
1 banana
30g uncooked oats
Handful of ice

Process all of the ingredients for 1-2 minutes or until you have a smooth mixture.

Strawberry and Peanut Butter Smoothie


This smoothie tastes like a peanut butter and jam sandwich!

What you need:

1 banana
100ml milk
2 tbsp peanut butter
5 fresh strawberries, cut in quarters

Just process everything together until smooth and enjoy!
