Days out for Parents with Babies and Children Under 1

The Royal baby is due to arrive any day,
Have you got an under 1 you’d like to take out for some fun?
From swimming to walks in the park and more,
Here are some fun activities for you to explore!

Splash and Swim

Swimming is a lovely activity to do with your baby from 2 months onwards.  It is a perfect time for some parent-child bonding and is important for building strength in the muscles, joints and internal organs too!   Introducing swimming from a young age will also help them to be confident with water whilst having fun!  There are many fantastic baby swimming lesson companies across the UK such as Puddleducks, Aquababies and Waterbabies.

Brilliant Buggy-friendly Walks

Getting out the house with your baby even for a short period of time will be beneficial for both parents and baby.  Babies will benefit from the fresh air and can take in the sensory smells and colours from the world around them.  Great places to stroll with a buggy include The New Forest, Hampshire, South Sheilds Marine Park, Tyne & Wear, The Old Colwyn Coastline, North Wales, Sutherland’s Grove, West Argyll and The Walking trail- Ickworth, Suffolk.

Brilliant Baby Groups

There are many fab groups in your local area where new parents can take their babies along to take part in music and movement, baby yoga & massage, story & sensory experiences and to socialise with other babies of a similar age too.   These are also a great opportunity for parents to chat and befriend other new parents, seek advice and also compare how much sleep they got last night!  Some fab groups worth checking out include Baby sensory, Jo Jingles, Adventure babies, Sing and Sign and Kalma Baby.

Amazing Aquariums & Sealife Centres

Aquariums and Sealife Centres are a fantastic visual and sensory experience for babies and children under 1, they’ll love watching the colourful fish swimming and splashing around as well as seeing an array of sea life creatures.  Our favourites include Sealife BirminghamBournemouth Oceanarium, Sealife London and Deep Sea World, Scotland

Do you know of any fab places to take a newborn baby? We’d really love to know! Someone else might love it, and really want to go! If you’ve got ideas, suggestions or reviews, you can shout all about it on whatever channel you choose!
