Christmas cookie decorating!

If you’re looking for something sweet,
Why not try these shortbread biscuit treats!
Just some shortbread and icing to decorate,
These biscuits are so simple to create!

It’s National Cookie Day and what’s a better excuse than to use the day and decorate some biscuits! As it’s the Christmas season I’ve found three festive biscuit designs that are super easy for you and your little chefs to make at home.

Snowman Biscuits

You will need:

Roll out fondant
Black, orange, red & green gel icing

Method:

1. First, roll out your fondant into circle shapes to fit your biscuits!
2. Then, using your red gel icing pen, draw a thin line halfway across the circle of your biscuit to make earmuffs before drawing two small green circles at the end.
3. Next, take your black gel icing pen and draw two eyes and the snowman’s mouth. Lastly, take an orange gel icing pen and draw a carrot for the nose.

Christmas Tree Biscuits

You will need:

Roll out fondant
Green and yellow gel icing
Christmas sprinkles

Method:

1. First, roll out your fondant into circle shapes to fit your biscuits!
2. Next, take your green gel pen and make a zig-zag shape in order to make it look like a Christmas tree! As soon as you have finished your shape, pour your Christmas sprinkles over the tree to make it look like decorations.
3. Lastly, finish your tree off by drawing a star on the top with your yellow gel icing!
