Want to spend this summer outside?
How about a trip to the seaside?
You’d think London only has a skyline,
but there’s a beach just on Picadilly Line!
1. Ruislip Lido Beach
Located in Ruislip, West London, Ruislip Lido is the closest beach to London. It is home to a woodland nature reserve and home to a beautiful lake with a sandy beach. There is also a pirate ship, miniature train, and woodland trails available for kids however, the water is not suitable to swim in.
2. Frensham Beach
This beach is located in Farnham, the water quality there is very clean which makes it great to swim in. There’s also an incredible sculpture park with over 600 sculptures made by over 300 artists which is within walking distance from the beach.
3. Sunny Sands Beach
Sunny Sands is located in Folkestone, Kent. Just like the name suggests, the beach is sandy, so make sure to bring your sandcastle building kit! You can spend the day sitting on the beach with fish and chips and ice creams or go for a swim on a hot day!
4. Botany Bay
You may have heard of Botany Bay, but don’t be confused with the one in Australia! This beach is located in Kent, and it offers an amazing scenery. There is plenty to do at the beach, you can explore the rock pools for crabs and little sea creatures or go fossil hunting!
5. Tankerton
Tankerton is a lovely pebble beach, making it a fantastic walk when the sun is out and the location is famous for its seafood! So you can eat fish that was caught that morning, or fresh rock oysters which are usually available all year round.
What have you been up to lately? We’d really love to know! Someone else might love it, and really want to go! If you’ve got ideas, suggestions or reviews, you can shout all about it on whatever channel you choose!
