Camp Bestival!

We went to Camp Bestival last year and LOVED it… here’s my review:

I will start this review by being blunt – CAMP BESTIVAL IS BRILLIANT! Our whole party made up of 4 adults and 4 under 3’s had the most amazing time. If you have kids, I would highly recommend that you put the dates in your diary and book your tickets!

The whole festival is a wonderful mix of music, dancing, comedy, children’s shows and food! The food is particularly worth a mention as there is such a great variety for adults and children, even for those with allergies (like one of my little ones!)

The acts are very well balanced in that they somehow manage to appeal to all ages! We had great fun watching circus performers and learning how to be clowns, as well as taking part in craft activities and, of course, listening to lots and lots of fab music.

For the little ones in our group there were two highlights; the first was seeing Mr Tumble, who lead a wonderful show full of jokes and singing that we all got involved with!

The second was Dingle Dell, the inspirational children’s area set in woodland. Here the children used natural materials to create and play. They made stick and mud men, created ‘potions’ with glittery water and used clay to make murals, plus so much more.

I came away determined to give them more experiences like this as they had such ‘wholesome’ fun.

For the adults the highlight was definitely Basement Jaxx, we boogied the night away, with the children (wearing ear protectors) on our shoulders. Looking around the crowd everyone else was doing the same and it really made me realise just how inclusive and truly family friendly this festival is.

Overall the whole experience gave us some great memories, exposed the children to music and creativity and importantly gave us some fun and exciting family time! The words of my 3 year old summed up how much we loved the whole experience……’I’m not going home, it’s better than my Birthday cake!’

P.S. Just so you know, I was lucky to be given press tickets but I still only write the truth! And because we loved it so much we are selling tickets this with no booking fee Xx
