We enjoyed London’s Southbank in the sun
An action packed day full of fun
Attractions conveniently close together
and most suitable for any weather! 😂
This week we visited London ahead of the coronation weekend and it’s fair to say that the city is dressed in its finery ready to celebrate. There are flags festooned across the streets and there is an air of excitement. If you are heading to the capital this weekend and looking for things to do then one of the stops on your bucket list should be London’s Southbank.
It’s just a few minutes walk from Waterloo station and as well as a bustling atmosphere it’s home to a host of fun attractions, conveniently close together to keep you busy. The sun was shining as we wandered through the Jubilee Gardens and we spotted many happy kids exploring the adventure play area.
Our first stop was the iconic London Eye. From 135 meters up in the air we saw far reaching views across the city including, St Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace.

This is also where you will find Thames Rockets Rib adventures, one of our favourite ways to see London – with a whizz down the Thames at speed! There are even adventures more suitable for families with younger kids so something for everyone!

Almost, opposite the London Eye you will find the London Dungeons, here you will discover London’s dark history and perhaps even test your nerve on Drop Dead : Drop Ride
