We’ve found some FREE family friendly events happening this weekend from Christmas lights being switched on, to exciting storytelling sessions that we just had to share with you all!
Rochester Christmas Lights; Rochester, Kent, 14th November, from 12:30pm
Don’t miss the festive fun in Rochester High Street with entertainment and music for all the family! There will even be guest appearances from The Snowman™ and The Snowdog as they assist the Mayor with the festive lights switch-on at 5pm.

Lord Mayor’s Show; London, 14th November, from 11am
With events and family activities planned for the day, the Lord Mayor’s Show is not to be missed. Highlights include a spectacular procession with over 7000 contributers from steam buses to giant robots, and one of London’s most breathtaking firework displays when the sun goes down. The city skyline will be illuminated in a musical dance of colour and explosions that can be seen for miles!

Visit the National Maritime Museum as they celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with an array of fun activities for all the family to enjoy. Learn how sea trade brought people and traditions to Britain from all over the world.

Regent Street Christmas Lights Switch On; London, 15th November, from 12pm
Don’t miss a festive day of entertainment and shopping as the brand new Christmas lights are switched on in world famous Regent Street. Hosted by Myleene Klass and Aled Jones, there will be live performances and entertainment as Darcey Bussell presses the magic button from 6pm.

Storytelling: Dotty’s Daring Blitz Adventure; Imperial War Museum North, Manchester, 14th & 15th November, 10:30am
Join this interactive storytelling session suitable for children of all ages, as you experience life during the Blitz through the eyes of a 10 year old child. You will even get to hold artefacts found by children over 70 years ago!
