7 fantastic chocolatey family activities this Easter!

For all the chocoholics out there (like me) nothing is better then being able to indulge at Easter. I have found some amazing chocolate related family days out for the family this Easter.

1) The Chocolate Factory, Swansea

Take a tour of a real working chocolate factory and find out exactly how chocolate is made and about the humble cocoa bean.

And, of course, there’ll be plenty of samples to eat during your visit!

2) York’s Chocolate Story, York

Discover the history of York’s most famous chocolate making families and the  fascinating facts behind York’s greatest chocolate products, from the Chocolate Orange to the globally famous KitKat. Afterwards you can indulge in the shop.

3) Cadbury World, Birmingham

Discover the history behind your favourite chocolate treats and explore the magic of how they are created. With so many amazing things to discover, including an adventure play area and the world’s biggest Cadburys shop, this is one delicious day out not to be missed!

4) John Bull Factory, Bridlington

Bring the kids here for an interesting and fun tour of the factory. Make your own chocolate lolly or customise your own stick of rock. Whilst you walk around hear the history of the local confections as told by a John Bull ancestor.

5) Young Cooks Bodnant Academy Easter Chocolate, Conwy

What could be better than your little chocolate fans being able to make their very own Easter egg? They will join award winning chef Stephen Hewitt, for an Easter Chocolate extravaganza.

6) Cadbury Eggsplorers Easter Egg Trail, Countrywide

Cadbury have teamed up with National Trust and National Trust Scotland to bring you the 2014 Easter Egg Trails, a great family day out! There will be 300 trails all over the UK, the kids receive a make-it-yourself pith helmet, a Trail Journal containing all the clues they need to complete the trail and an Eggsplorer Passport to be stamped along the way, and on completing the trail they will be rewarded with a delicious Cadbury Egghead.

7) Chocolate Unwrapped: family fun at the Eden Project, Par, Cornwall

Journey through the worlds largest indoor rainforest and learn all about the history of chocolate, make a delicious chocolate bar to take home, listen to stories from the narrators and meet chocolate experts.
